Welcome to Access Ability's Spring 2014 Newsletter

Hello and welcome to Access Ability's Spring 2014 newsletter. We have various updates from the past few months as well as upcoming training dates, found at the bottom of this email.

In February and March 2014 Access Ability worked in partnership with Linkbridge Burnley and Lancashire Adult Learning to provide accredited Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification to unemployed members of the weekly job clubs.

Members from our Blackburn Job club enjoyed a session of Tai Chi.

Tai Chi is a form of martial arts originating from China that has numerous health benefits and has been proven to have positive effects on various health problems and conditions such as depression, heart conditions, stress and anxiety.

Sean was employed full time for 28 years at Remploy, Burnley. Following the closure of the factory he found himself made redundant and out of work. Sean attended our Connect Project in Burnley every Friday, which provided a regular meeting point for him and 18 of his colleagues.

2013 was a great year for Access Ability and all of our members. We ended the year with Christmas parties with all of our job clubs. Everyone had a fantastic time
