The Roadrunner Outdoor Adventure Bus Gets a Facelift from AISD Artists
The Roadrunner Outdoor Adventure Bus has a new look! The bus that has connected 1,500 children and their families with nature has just received a new bus wrap courtesy of the 3M Corporation. Working in partnership with the AISD Fine Arts Department, our staff hosted an art competition that received hundreds of submissions from young artists in our community. Eleven artists were selected and, with the help of a talented local graphic designer, their work was incorporated into a beautiful art wrap that reflects the purpose of our program. On September 30, 2016, the young artists, AISD art teachers and faculty celebrated the Roadrunner’s unveiling at the AISD Performing Arts Center. Kudos to the emerging AISD artists and big thanks to our partners at 3M Corporation for helping this come to fruition! more>>

Westcave Fun Fact
As we celebrate 40 years of being a nature preserve and revel in the release of Discovering Westcave, we want to commemorate the years by releasing fun facts about our jewel in the Hill Country.
Westcave’s location—on the Central Flyway for bird migration and at the convergence of several plant communities in central Texas—contributes to the Preserve’s remarkable biodiversity.
