FAIRVIEW COLUMNS

WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

COME AND WORSHIP!
Greetings, Fairview Family. The keys in the picture above will be used to open the doors to you on Sunday morning, and so I hope you will enter into those doors ready for praise, for prayers, and for the preaching of God's Word. Sunday is our return to one service at 11 a.m. We invite our entire church family to come together at that time to do the very thing we were made to do, to worship.
We recognize that there are precautions that we must take; we encourage you to read through our precautions and protocols found here. Also, if you are planning to bring your child for children's church or nursery, click here.
Check our our bulletin for this Sunday.

Praying for you today. Grace be with you.
~Kenny

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
As we return to one service, we have a great need for more volunteers (men and women) in our children's area. This includes nursery, Sunday School, and children's church. When you help within these areas, you fulfill the vows you make towards our children when they are baptized. Here's the question from BCO 56.5: "Do you as a congregation undertake the responsibility of assisting the parents in the Christian nurture of this child?"
Will you sign up to be a teacher or a volunteer? Reply with a yes! Thank you to those who are already serving and those who will serve.

LORD'S SUPPER
Oct. 18th worship service
Please note that we will observe the Lord's Supper on the 18th. The Westminster Shorter Catechism speaks to how we ought to prepare ourselves for this sacrament. It says, "It is required of them that would worthily partake of the Lord's supper, that they examine themselves of their knowledge to discern the Lord's body, of their faith to feed upon him, of their repentance, love, and new obedience, lest, coming unworthily, they eat and drink judgment to themselves." Please take some time this week to prepare.

CHRISTMAS CHILD BOXES
Oct. 25 worship service

We participate in Operation Christmas Child, and the boxes for this ministry will be available to you during the worship service. Boxes are due on November 8; please place them on the bench in the back of the church.
