Spirituality Discussion: Sunday, June 9th 9:30am-10:30am
The Power of Mysticism

The power of mysticism has caused people all over the world and centuries to follow a path or perform deeds they wouldn’t ordinarily do.  Why is mysticism so strong and how does it affect you?

All are welcome to participate in these open sessions on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 9:30-10:30 before service.  All comments are welcome and opinions are respected.  It is important to formulate one’s own ideas, gain insights from others and participate in dialog to better get to know each other. 828 524-3691

Sunday Service
June 9, 2019 - 11:00 am

Please plan to attend
to celebrate our 5th principle.

Materials have been mailed to members.

Marge Abel and Carla Woodmansee are planning a community quilt project to be put together by members and friends of UUFC. Each block could reflect an aspect of our UU community and even the larger community. We will use our imaginations and incorporate all skill levels.

We would like to hold our first meeting on July 7th after the Potluck.  Please feel free to let Carla Woodmansee know your thoughts and questions before then. We are excited that this will be a fun project, allowing us to strengthen the bonds that already exist between us, to create new bonds and make new friends, and to build a stronger community. It will be “sew” much fun. We’re on “pins and needles.” Click on the link below to learn about a collaborative quilt project described in UU World.

Fellowship Contribution Campaign

We Build on Foundations We Did Not Lay

We build on foundations we did not lay

We warm ourselves by fires we did not light

We sit in the shade of trees we did not plant

We drink from wells we did not dig

We profit from persons we did not know

This is as it should be.

Together we are more than any
one person could be.

Together we can build across the generations.

Together we can renew our hope and faith
in the life that is yet to unfold.

Together we can heed the call to
a ministry of care and justice.

We are ever bound in community.

May it always be so.

Rev. Peter Raible (1930-2004)
UU Minister, Seattle, WA
