JOYS & CONCERNS - January Straw Poll

In July 2018, the Worship Committee began a trial re-sequencing of Joys & Concerns in the order of service.  We would appreciate your feedback on this change and have created an online poll for members, friends, and others to respond.

Your thoughts and opinions are a useful tool in the running of the Fellowship. This method of seeking input is being developed.  PLEASE respond.  Your comments in any form are always welcome.

The poll is shown below and will run for the first three weeks in January at the link  below. The Worship Committee meets on the 4th Sunday when we will review the results and share with the community.

Spiritual Teaching of Earth-Centered Religions

Unitarian Universalism is a highly individualistic religion with no dogma concerning the spiritual nature of the world. As such, different UUs can have radically different ideas concerning the nature of the divine (or its absence) as well as ethical decisions.

As varied as our beliefs are, there are seven principles which members of the UU religious community agree upon. These are the foundations of the Chosen Faith we covenant to support and promote. These principles are grounded in wisdom traditions we share which include:

  • Spiritual teachings of earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature.

We acknowledge that reality consists of a complex and interconnected web of relationships. Actions taken seemingly in isolation can still have far-reaching effects, and responsible behavior includes being mindful of these potential consequences.

This Sunday, Maya RedFeather will speak on:
