Come and visit us and experience a true taste of Cumbria

This month theres lots on at the at the markets! We are celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight with some special items on some of our stalls. We have a new cake stall at Brampton, The Little Tin Kitchen (see below for more details). Its also Seville orange season, till the end of February when these bitter little treats are at their best, so some of our stallholders will be busy making marmalade. Watch out for them around the market.
At Carlisle, Sustainable Carlisle will be running their usual Give and Take stall but will be including a banner and badge making session for young people in preparation for the second school climate change strike on March 15th.

This month Brampton and Carlisle markets are on around Fairtrade Fortnight
And the theme this year is COCOA. At Brampton there will be a Fairtrade coffee morning in the Moot Hall and we have a few Fairtrade treats from our stallholders. There will be a children's quiz around the town and in lots of the shops!
In Carlisle there is a quiz in Cakes and Ale on Friday 1st March, a free talk given by the Fairtrade Foundation at John Watts, Blackfriars St on Monday 4th March and a walk along the Fairtrade Way from Dalston to Carlisle on Saturday 9th March. Plus our favourites the One World Shop will have a stall at the market selling Fairtrade gift items.
Lakeland Steaks
Have you tried them at Carlisle yet? Serving delicious Lakeland burgers, Cumberland hotdogs, tea, coffee and even bacon rolls, just when and where you need them, in the centre of Carlisle on a busy Saturday lunchtime! Stop by and give them a whirl.

The Little Tin Kitchen
New this month at Brampton, The Little Tin Kitchen with homemade, delicious loaf cakes and tray bakes. Try the Maple, Pecan and Banana, with bananas from Eva's Organics, the Seville Marmalade loaf with homemade marmalade or the moreish Mocha Brownies. Plus look out for the special Yorkshire Curd Tart made with fresh curd from Thornby Moor Dairy. I promise you wont be disappointed!
