Regulators, Rent Seekers, and Revolutionaries: What Every Startup Needs to Know about Regulated Markets

Join Evan Burfield, author of Regulatory Hacking; and Bradley Tusk, author of The Fixer; along with Steve Blank, the father of modern entrepreneurship to learn what regulated markets are, how they work, and how startup founders can devise a strategy for disrupting them.

Join the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Club and the Social Innovation and Public Service (SIPS) Fund for the competition is open to both graduate and undergraduate Georgetown students and alumni (post- '01 grads) who are interested in pitching their non-profit and social ventures in front of a live audience and a panel of judges to win a share of the $10,000 prize. These superstar students are looking to scale their ventures, have a definitive community impact and drive social good in an innovative, sustainable way.

Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security Survey
The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security is conducting research on the barriers faced by US women entrepreneurs in tech, as part of a broader comparative study with China. They are hoping to gather insights from as many entrepreneurs of women-owned tech businesses, where one or more women hold 51% ownership of the company, as possible.  The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete.

The Slavin Family Foundation provides support to dedicated students that have a desire to contribute to humanity and the ability and discipline to bring entrepreneurial ideas to life.

The Foundation’s main activity is the Slavin Fellowship, which offers support, mentorship, and a scholarship to a limited number of undergraduate and graduate students pursuing entrepreneurial projects.
