Welcome Callie Jacobs, Our New Venture Lab Manager

Callie joins the Venture Lab team most recently from Lyft, but she has a background in marketing and operations at several startups in the D.C. area. An Alexandria native, she is excited to support local entrepreneurs through the Venture Lab. When not in (the office) quarantine, you'll find her planning her next trip, hitting a fitness class, or trying to find the best nachos in the city.

Venture Lab Startups Build COVID-19 Test Site Locator

Georgetown Venture Lab members Raakin Iqbal, founder of The Social App, and the team at Basil Labs collaborated to create a new web tool called the COVID-19 Testing Locator. The site lets users determine how far they are from the nearest testing locations.

Computer science minor Adrian Hertel created a simple computer program that automatically notifies you when an Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods delivery slot opens up, letting you place your order.

Register for the Virtual Global Hack Against COVID-19 Today

The Global Hack is an online hackathon designed to share and rapidly develop ideas for urgently needed solutions in the face of the current crisis, as well as to build resilience post-pandemic.

The prize pool for the best ideas is 195k euros.
