#1 Trending Event
🍀 St. Patrick's Day

This week we celebrate the man who drove the snakes out of Ireland, which may or may not have ever had snakes in the first place.

Regardless, St. Patrick's Day is this Sunday. It's also the #1 trending event on Forekast this week. Celebrate with a Guinness, or by driving a few snakes out of your backyard. Your call.

We'll leave you with our favorite Irish blessing:

May your troubles be less, and your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.

🔥What's Trending This Week?

#2 Trending Event
🌐 The World Wide Web's 30th Birthday
Happy birthday to the Web! There are a lot of great things to celebrate, like how Twitter helped a quiet donut shop have a successful launch this week. We loved this story (thread)

#3 Trending Event
🥧 Pi Day
Come to the nerd side...we have Pi. Yes, 3.14 is Pi Day, and it's coming up this Thursday. Celebrate with a slice of strawberry rhubarb, apple, lemon meringue, pepperoni pizza...we could go on forever.

#4 Trending Event
😴 National Napping Day
There's nothing like a well-timed nap. And the good news is that you don't have to wait to rock yourself to sleep, National Napping Day is today, all day. We're going back to bed as soon as this email is finished.

What Else is Happening?

🚀 Lots of Space Events
The Space Subkast is overflowing with events this week with 3 scheduled rocket launches as well as a NASA Media Event, which will highlight NASA's upcoming missions to the Moon and Mars.  None of the 3 rocket launches are SpaceX-related so they won't get as much media attention; though the Expedition 59 launch should, as it'll be carrying NASA astronaut Christina Hammock Koch who will be one-half of the first ever all-women spacewalk

Product Release
🚘 Tesla Model Y Unveil
Elon has kept the details of this reveal close to the chest.  But what we do know is that the Model Y will likely be a smaller version of the Model X, but also slightly bigger than the Model 3.  It'll also cost slightly more and have slightly less range.

🏈 NFL Free Agency Begins
Free agent signings, probably some releases, and hopefully some trades.  We can't wait for this Wednesday to see where some of the biggest names will go.  Some of the notable free agents this year are DeMarcus Lawrence, Le'Veon Bell, and Jadeveon Clowney.  Also let's not forget Super Bowl MVP, Nick Foles.

🍸 Arrested Development Season 5B (Netflix)
If you can't remember when the first part of season 5 premiered, don't worry neither did we (it was last May and it seems like forever ago).  The Bluth family returns for what will likely be it's last and final season, this half season should promise to wrap up a lot of those loose ends created in the first half of the season.

🗡 Beware The Ides of March
In researching historic event, we discovered that the Ides of March wasn't originally the horrible omen day that William Shakespeare has ingrained in our pop-culture psyche.  It originally signified the new year in the Roman Calendar, so party hard my friends.

🥞 IHOP Free Pancake Day
In honor of National Pancake Day, IHOP will be giving away free short stacks of their buttermilk pancakes.  While the pancakes are free, a donation to the Children's Miracle Network is highly encouraged.

⭐ The Best of the Rest

There were a ton of events posted this week, so thank you to everyone who contributed.  If there are any events or types of events you think we missed, let us know and we'll make sure that they're included in the future.  Here are some other events we'd like to mention:

The UN Environmental Assembly will be gathering in Kenya this week with a theme focused on shifting global economic systems towards more sustainable trajectories that tackle environmental challenges.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards are this week and will be hosted by T-Pain.  More importantly Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, John Legend, and many others will be performing live.

There's a youth movement brewing against governments over climate change, with students in 50 nations organizing a school strike as a form of global protest on March 15.

March Madness isn't tipping off this week, but this Sunday and next week Monday the selection committees will announce the men's and women's teams heading to the tourney.

Finally, this Tuesday is the start of National Wildlife Week.  In it's 81st year, this is one of the longest-running education programs.
