What else is happening this week?
🎬Reasons to go to the movies this week
The Step Brothers are back! Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly’s take on Holmes and Watson hits theaters this Tuesday. You could always do a double showing and catch Vice, the biographical comedic/dramatic take on Dick Cheney's rise to power. It's expected to do well throughout the upcoming awards season.
Interestingly, both of these films are directed by the super versatile Adam McKay, who's also behind huge films like The Big Short and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Think we know what he's doing this week.
Yes, playoffs. The Semifinals of the 2019 College Football Playoffs kick off this Saturday with #1 Alabama facing #4 Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl and #2 Clemson facing #3 Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl. All eyes will be on Alabama’s QB Tua Tagovailoa, who vows to be 100% as he recovers from an ankle injury.
Odds to win:
Notre Dame +1100
♣Las Vegas gets another poker face
You don't need a million reasons to go to Vegas this year, you just need one, and her name is Gaga. That's right, Lady Gaga's residency at MGM begins this week. It features two unique shows: the Enigma show which is the pop hits experience, and the Jazz & Piano show which is a stripped down version. Sign us up for both. Get your tickets and check show dates here.
📺Kick your feet up and relax this week
Lots to watch on TV this week. First, we'd recommend you check out the NBA's Christmas Day lineup. You can also tune into season two of The Orville, a surprise hit from last year. It stars Seth MacFarlane - think of the show as a light-hearted take on Star Trek.
There's also the Kennedy Center Honors. This year, Cher and Reba McEntire are getting honored. Plus, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the other "Hamilton" co-creators are getting a special award.
You're all caught up!
👋See you next week!
