Python for Life Scientists
- From zero to hero -

BioSB and ENPICOM are starting a collaboration in training and we are happy to announce that there is an opportunity for BioSB members to participate in the ENPICOM course 'Python for Life Scientists' with a significant reduction on the course fee.
We invite you to spread this announcement in your group and hope to welcome you or  some of your colleagues in the course.
Python for Life Scientists – from zero to hero
13-14  May 2016, Amsterdam

Course website 

The course is tailored for life scientists with little or no prior programming experience, but who are interested in learning python to automatize their everyday workflow. The course is driven by real-life use cases, taking participants from the basics up to drawing a volcano plot. Participants will learn by doing, completing small snippets of code that they will be able to reuse after the course, in their everyday tasks. If you do have some programming experience, this course is still useful if you want to learn the basics of python and some useful python tricks.
The current offer for BioSB members is to participate in this course for a fee of 100 euro (regular course fee is 450 euro). Please let us know before April 29 via if you are interested in participating. We have only 5 BioSB seats in this course, in case more BioSB members are interested their names will be put on the waiting list for the next edition of the course.

BioSB Education Programme

This course is part of the Education Programme of BioSB, the Netherlands Bioinformatics and Systems Biology research school, which offers training and education for in bioinformatics and systems biology. More information about BioSB can be found at
