REPORT— COVID CLOSE CONTACT [week of 8/15-8/21]

This is an official correspondence from Danbury Baptist to let you know that positive COVID-19 cases have been reported among our attending membership. It has been determined that definitive close contact (within 6 feet for approximately 15 minutes) was made:

  • Sunday, August 15th with 5 adults outside of the infected’s immediate family. These individuals were contacted directly on Monday, August 16th following the reported positive test.
  • Wednesday, August 18th all participants in our Mid-week Youth gathering are considered to have been in close contact. These families have been contacted directly today, Saturday, August 21st, following a positive COVID test report.

If you are experiencing any symptoms, we ask that you refrain from attending until you are symptom-free, and if your symptoms worsen, seek medical attention.

With this information, you are encouraged to prayerfully consider what is best for you and your family. Church is essential and we are all expected to navigate these times in a prayerful, considerate, and courageous manner.

From our most recent iteration of our vision statement:

Danbury Baptist Church will gather in-person on Sundays at 10:45am to worship through prayer, singing, giving, preaching, responding and testifying to the goodness of God found in the forgiveness, reconciliation, and new life afforded to us through His redemptive work. We will make Christ known at every opportunity, we will discern and walk circumspect, but we will not surrender, there is no King but Christ.

  • If you are sick stay home.
  • If you are caring for someone who is sick, stay home, and continue to care for them. It is also reasonable to assume, you have been exposed to their sickness but not definite.
  • If you are sick and need to go to the Dr, then go, and follow their recommendations.
  • When in doubt, think of others and stay home.
  • Wash your hands.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes.
  • Stay out of each other's faces (and don't eat/drink after one another).
  • If you have other ailments or causes to be extra careful, then be extra careful.

THANK YOU for being prayerful, considerate, and courageous!
