WBID Services Update

Keeping the district clean and well maintained is a key aspect of the WBID. The cleanup crews continue to work hard at picking up trash and debris, removing graffiti on public property, and sidewalk weeding.

So far this year, the crews have spent 620 hours in the district and have removed 938 pounds of litter off of the street. Additionally crews have spent 42 hours removing posters and weeding. The crews continue to be instrumental in reporting other issues such as illegal dumping, burnt out streetlights, or potholes to the City of Minneapolis for attention.

The crews will continue to be out in the district on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00AM to 1:00PM, so keep your eyes open for them, and be sure to say hello.
At of the end of August, the WBID General Account has a balance of $16,621.27

Holiday Decorations Preview

A mock-up of the upcoming holiday decorations.
To create a more inviting and aesthetically pleasing commercial corridor, the WBID has purchased holiday decorations that will be mounted on 64 light poles through the entire district. Expect the decorations to start appearing on poles in the middle of November.
