April in the time of Covid-19,

Dear all,

I hope this finds you safe and well.

Above is a digital installation of the new work the Lake Erie Quarto - Currents, that has not been sent to Anadulo University, Eskisehir, Turkey due to the pandemic shutdown. The work was to be exhibited along with 30 of the Navigation pages http://www.timothyfrerichs.com/navigation-pages-2018-19.html, and Navigation pages Bloom http://www.timothyfrerichs.com/navigation-pages-bloom.html, this coming May 7th-18th with an accompanying printmaking workshop.

The installation consists of 10 groups of 4 paperworks. The content is derived from Lake Erie wind and water currents. These were culled from a series of days November-December, 2019, and January, February, 2020. The mediums used are mainly derived locally from the Lake Erie are and consist of:  handmade Milkweed and Mitzumata paper, pulp painting with recycled linen and pigment, ink, Balloon ribbon, plastic, and shoe insoles collected from the Lake Erie Shore.

This artwork and continuing project work is partially funded through a 2019 Global Warming Art Project Grant, Art Services Initiative of Western New York.

Finally, below is a screen shot from today's Lake Erie wind and water current map.... unfortunately it doesn't show today's wonderful sunshine.

Warm regards and a safe Spring,

Tim
