Hi <<First Name>>,
A prolific and widely respected poet, Lucille Clifton's work above emphasizes endurance and strength through adversity. Thus, I chose this particular poem of hers because of the recent United States Supreme Court ruling regarding women's reproductive rights.
In the upcoming July 9th Sweat Your Prayers class, my desire is to dedicate our dance to all the women who have just had the 'right to choose taken away from them in certain states.
I also want to dedicate this dance to self-identified women of different shapes, races, ages, and backgrounds.
And finally, I want to devote this dance to our hips, bellies, and pelvises.
Let's come together to open our hearts and hips with the energy of mindful flow to connect and regain hope.
With love,
Sylvie and the SDP Team
