Hi <<First Name>>,
Mindful movement practices hold tremendous energy, especially when shared with others. What an amazing feeling it was to dance in person at last Saturday's Sweat Your Prayers class. It felt surreal to move among others experimenting with their movement intentions, trusting their bodies to lead their inner attentiveness.
The long winter of the pandemic has made it challenging to plan the future. It's as if we are stuck in an "in-between" space of what was and what could be.
I have faith that the new year holds the promise of lighter ways of being, so with this in mind, my vision is to continue to dance in person on the second Saturday of the month--January 8th, and enjoy a New Year tune-up with a Sound Wave on January 22nd. More details to come, so save the dates!
I'll leave you with a poem by DM Babbit -
December on the Wind
December first edges in the season
greeting crisp brown shades
faltering after the frost
solid earthen steps echo
throughout the naked forests;
History resounds reminders
of seasons passed and forgotten
resurging the dreams
that once lived, longed for discovery
resonating reverberations of the past;
December reawakes
the child of inspiration
caricatured parody of who we once were
breathing in the hopes and dreams
of a Christmas memory revived
a December on the wind.
With love and gratitude,
Sylvie and the SDP Team
