Meet Our Photographer

Bethany Burt is the co-owner with her husband, Ethan Burt of Rose Colored Glasses Photoraphy based out of Danville, IL. Her passion about life, love, and Jesus, shine throughout her life and her photography.
Our application to become a non-profit organization has been on file for about a month now, and we will hear by September at the latest if it has been approved. We are hopeful and prayerful that it will go through without any delays!

Catching up with Her House

It’s been a while since you’ve heard from us, but since it is officially spring, we’d like to share with you all of the ways that Her House is beginning to grow. A year has passed since the vision of Her House began in our hearts. Let me tell you, God has done BIG things in that year! It’s been quiet from the outside looking in, but our board has been hard at work writing bylaws, articles of incorporation, and a business plan. We have been looking at properties, and with the help of a lawyer, we have even filed the massive 501c3 application! Glory to God! Although we do not have a location or doors to open, we are still looking forward to what God has in His plan, and in His perfect timing for Her House.

“He has made everything beautiful in His time…”

                        Ecclesiastes 3:11

Our board members have been visiting homes similar to what Her House will be. In the last month we have visited The O’Connor House in Caramel, IN and Beerlahai Roi Women’s Ministries in Springfield, IL. Seeing these homes gives us a deeper vision and understanding of the steps that need to be taken. We are learning about legalities, rules, and regulations to keep the house operating smoothly and effectively.

If you would like to know more about the homes we mentioned above, you can visit their websites at:

We are choosing to not solicit any more funds to be on the safe side of things. We can still accept donations, although they are not guaranteed tax deductible in 2014. We have chosen to not host a rummage sale this summer; however, we do hope to make it an annual event once our application is approved by the government.
