October 2020

Please keep this prayer list close and pray during this month for God's work in Vanuatu.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 concerns we will NOT be meeting together as a group this month.

Thank you very much.

We thank God for opening the doors that allow Medical Santo staff and volunteers to help many disabled people living in Northern Vanuatu.

We are very thankful for Ben and Ros and their passion to develop an effective team of dedicated workers providing training, awareness, advocacy, support and many practical items to hundreds of people living with disabilities in Northern Vanuatu.

God has led us into a close working relationship with both the Vanuatu Disability, Promotion and Advocacy Association and the Vanuatu Society for People with Disabilities group. The Medical Santo team have been very busy working with these groups to promote the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.  Our team have developed programs and resources and are planning to have 50 awareness meetings around Northern Vanuatu by December 11th.

God made it possible for the delivery of 160 kg of medications to be delivered to the clinic last month.  It was just in time for the clinic to diagnose and treat a young lady with very high blood pressure and some heart damage.  The staff continue to monitor her and she is very grateful for the quick diagnosis, her treatment and the time taken to explain her condition to her and her husband.   We pray for her ongoing good health.

A lady came to the clinic last year after many years of infertility and Medical Santo provided some treatment for her.  Now she has a 3 month old little bundle of joy.  We thank God that we could provide the necessary care and His blessing for this family.

Please pray for the Government as they deal with many issues affecting Vanuatu during the COVID-19 pandemic.   The Vanuatu borders are still closed except for a few repatriation flights bringing their citizens back home.

There is still much work to do in Santo after Cyclone Harold

Please pray for Jaylyne who is back at her village on Ambae after the passing of her mother.  Pray for Jaylyne's family, that God will comfort them in this time of loss.
We also remember other staff who have lost extended family members recently.

Please pray that God will guide our team in the

preparations for a medical outreach trip up the west

coast of Santo.

This has been postponed a few times due to bad

weather and rain.

We pray that in God's time this outreach will provide

the medical care and treatment for many people

who are in need.

Please pray for the safety of all of the staff

and volunteers on this trip.

Please pray for the clinic staff.
