Dear CMCS members,

We are thrilled to announce that the 2nd episode of Celebrity Chat has been released! Thanks to Nicole Bojko and Ian Dixon for the lovely conversation on Hollywood cinema and activism. Watch, share and comment at youtu.be/lWec-Bj26tQ – we want to hear from you!

If you are in town, join us for the CMCS 4th anniversary on Wednesday, August 30 at 7pm at Link Lounge, Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. Please mention the Bridging Gap group to be directed to our reception. This informal event is also a meet & greet for our upcoming Bridging Gap conference at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.

We are pleased to announce that Nafsika Antypas from the A & E Television Networks, Mary Murphy from NY Mag, Esquire & TV Guide magazines, NBC.com journalist Jere Hester, and Megan Garber from The Atlantic are joining our CUNY conference on scholars becoming media critics. Jere Hester and Tim Harper will have a panel discussion with Mary Murphy during our op-ed workshop at 5 pm on August 31st. We will also have a special Q & A with Nafsika Antypas at 5 pm on September 1. For more information on her show and media kit, please visit the conference website: http://cmc-centre.com/conferences/nyc2017/

If you want to join our CMCS conference in Australia, the early bird deadline to register there is August 31.

Please note that the Twitter conference hashtag has been changed to #CMCS17. Use this hashtag and tag @celeb_studies to introduce yourself & take part in conference conversations!

For Celebrity Chat interviews and other inquiries, you can send me an email at info@cmc-centre.com

Have a great weekend and see you soon!
