Race 13.1 has had a busy spring so far across the country! We had four successful races this month in Knoxville, TNGreensboro, NCRichmond, VA; and St. Louis, MO! Check out our results page to view final race results and photo links!

Up Next: This coming weekend is another double Race 13.1 weekend! On Saturday, June 4 we have our fifth annual BCBSNC Race 13.1 Raleigh-Spring half marathon, 10k & 5k as well as the inaugural Race 13.1 Cincinnati half marathon, 10k & American Cancer Society 5k! Whether you're racing this weekend with Race 13.1 in Raleigh or Cincinnati, or running another event in the upcoming months, make sure you're prepared to run in the heat! This article on gives tips on how to perform optimally in hot conditions. 

Running and racing in the heat is never easy. Whether you’re running in a dry or humid climate, your body temperature runs higher than normal, you sweat more, work harder and run slower in hot weather. It’s not only a physical burden, but also a mental one, knowing that you might have trained for several months for a certain pace only to have your goal time thrown out the window for a more realistic pacing strategy appropriate to the conditions.
