Announcements and Upcoming Events

The Tampa Bay Breastfeeding Task Force held its second annual conference on February 17, 2017 in Tampa, FL, attracting 150 nurses, lactation consultants, dietitians, students, doulas, midwives, scholars, and more from the Tampa Bay area.

Speakers from all over Florida came and spoke on perceived insufficient milk supply, starting solids, birth control while breastfeeding, influencing breastfeeding policy, maternal anxiety, and motivational interviewing.

Our keynote speaker, Kimarie Bugg, MSN, MPH, CLC, CEO and Change Leader of Reaching Our Sisters Everywhere (ROSE), discussed how we can focus on achieving health equity through breastfeeding.

Session presentations and speaker hand outs are available for download on the 2017 Conference site. If you have topic suggestions for next year's conference, please e-mail us!
