PyOhio 2020: CFP Last Call!

PyOhio 2020 will be a virtual event held
Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, 2020

We understand that many in our community have different time pressures now so with the change to a virtual event we have decided to change the talk formats. For our 2020 virtual conference we will be presenting all short talks. The only difference between the two types is the length:

Lightning Talks - 4-5 minutes
Thunder Talks - 9-10 minutes

All talks will be pre-recorded by the presenter and must be submitted to PyOhio by July 10, 2020. Instructions for recording and submitting talk video will be posted soon.

Similar to the Lightning Talks sessions in PyOhios past, we will be accepting talks on any topic of interest to the PyOhio community. A Python connection certainly helps but is not necessarily required for topics that are relevant to Python users, such as professional skills and community building.

You can enter submissions until 2020-06-14 11:59 (US/Eastern)

Talks will be pre-recorded and released during the event. They will be available for viewing on-demand afterward. We will be providing an online venue for discussion and curated Q&A (optional for presenters.) We are also considering providing other content over the weekend.

We are still working on details for sponsorship levels. If you are interested in sponsoring the event, please email info@pyohio.org.

As always, registration will be free.

More details coming soon!
