For the past 40 years, Hospice Hawaii has worked diligently to support our patients’ choices, preserve their dignity, and allow them to live life as fully as possible. Over the course of our history, we’ve seen so many people living with serious but treatable illnesses who aren’t yet ready for hospice but require support services to improve their quality of life. President's Message

By Tori Abe Carapelho

After months of strategic planning, I’m excited to announce Hospice Hawaii’s evolution to Navian Hawaii! What began as a venture to provide quality end-of-life care for the people of Hawaii has grown considerably over the past 40 years, and it’s only fitting that we mark our milestone 40th anniversary with a new name for our organization and an expanded purpose to provide care for every life journey. Par Hawaii Charity Golf Tournament

We had a wonderful time volunteering at the 2019 Par Hawaii Charity Golf Tournament. We were also an honored beneficiary of the event. As a Mission Partner of our organization, Par Hawaii holds a very special place in our hearts, and it is only thanks to their support that we are able to fulfill our purpose to provide care for every life journey. The Voyage Together:
Q&A with Bobby Moderow Jr.

In celebration of our transition to Navian Hawaii, we’re thrilled to announce a special collaboration with award-winning musician Bobby Moderow Jr.! We partnered with Bobby to release “The Voyage Together,” an original song celebrating the launch of Navian Hawaii and the beginning of our new journey. Bobby’s song honors our commitment to improving the lives of Hawaii’s people, celebrating every one of life’s moments, and navigating in the direction of hope. Click here to read more…

#MyNavian: The Navian Hawaii Story

Navian: It’s likely a word you’d never heard of before reading this newsletter. Formed from the words “Navigator” and “Guardian,” Navian reflects our commitment to serving and advocating for our patients and their families by steering them to calmer waters and protecting their personal wishes. For every single one of our patients and their loved ones, we want to be a Navian—a supportive, guiding light to illuminate their journey ahead. Click here to read more…

Remembrance Wall

The Remembrance Wall was created by Navian Hawaii to recognize the outstanding generosity of families, businesses and foundations that have donated $1,000 or more in a single contribution or memorials that have raised $1,000 or more. As a non-profit organization, Navian Hawaii relies on donor support to provide expert care in times of need. Just as we help patients and their families navigate toward hope, our Remembrance Wall symbolizes the journey each of us will sail. Remembrance Ceremonies are hosted to celebrate the lives of those who have journeyed onward. Guests are invited to add their loved one’s sail to the other beloved sails on our wall.

Year-End Giving Doesn’t Always Mean Writing a Check

Did you know that you can extend your support to us without affecting your current finances and still save on taxes? It’s true. Consider these tax-advantaged gifts that could benefit you and our organization: Click here to read more…
