Accelerating your success with teen science cafés

A Call To Action

#1 Like us at and post a note about your latest Café happenings.
At the TSCN Workshop you asked for a Facebook Community where TSCN Members could connect, collaborate, and communicate. We made it happen. Our community is open and ready for you to post, like, and follow.

#2 Send us a link to your Flickr account or upload your photos to ours. Kate can give you the login information. We want to shine a spotlight on your Café on the TSCN website.

#3 Weigh in on the idea of a creating a Teen Social Network. This week's blog and forum discussion explore forming a social network among the community of teens who participate in teen science cafés. The question is...should we do it? If we support them in the development, will teens build it and will their peers come? Login to and then join us in the forum discussion.

#4 Cross-node research strand is moving forward. One of the many dynamic discussions at the workshop was about exploring opportunities for cross-node research to learn more about what impacts we are having in the TSCN. In a recent blog, Natanya Civjan, Café Scientifique NM, invites all Members interested in participating in a collaborative research project to join her in a forum conversation.
Our Forum Goes Private
You asked for it and we delivered - a space for discussing tough or sensitive topics without prying eyes. The TSCN Forums are now private, thus only accessible to our Members through login. Please be sure you are logged in to access the forums to avoid an error message.

Drawing a Line
We explain the focus of the Facebook Community and how it differs from the now Private Forum in our blog "It's all about Communication".

Workshop Update
The workshop was a wonderful success and many great ideas arose from it.You can access the agenda and all resources associated with the workshop on our website. We will be writing blog posts over the next few months as Members begin to take action in new areas.
We have updated the TSCN brochure. A PDF file is available in our resources bank. If you would like to have some hard copies mailed to you, just ask!
