Ditch That Homework VIP Club
We're getting ready to send the first email to our Ditch That Homework VIP Club! You won't want to miss out on this opportunity to collaborate with Alice and I, help drive the conversation about homework AND possibly get your ideas in our upcoming book!
In case you haven't heard: Alice Keeler and I are writing a book about homework ... the frustrations with it and how you can run your classroom without homework or with it more effectively. It's a topic we're both passionate about.
As we move forward in the book writing process, we'll keep you updated through the Ditch That Homework VIP Club. We'll give you behind-the-scenes access to what we're working on. We'll let you know how and when to get a copy of the book.
Plus, you could be in the book. We'll be asking you to share stories, ideas and advice, and some of it will make it in print!

Ditch That Textbook on the road
I'm getting on a plane tomorrow to deliver the keynote presentation at the general session of the Pacific Northwest Apprenticeship Education Conference in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday. I'm excited to talk with these great educators about the changing face of the workforce and how it affects the students in their programs.
Tomorrow (Tuesday), I'll be meeting with teachers in Portland at St. Anthony School for an insanely practical two-hour workshop about using technology and Google tools in the classroom.
