Make a difference today!

Words From Our Directors.

Two years ago I went down to the Gaza border to give out Mishloach Manot on Purim. That Purim I met a Lone Soldier, Joey, from Baltimore, who was living on a Kibbutz. After spending some time with him I took down his number and said "If you ever need anything, please ask."

One year later Joey sent us a message. He said that there was a Lone Soldier from Brazil, the battalion doctor in his brigade, who didn't have any winter gear. Within 24 hours this Lone Soldier from Brazil was provided with all the necessities for a harsh winter in the army.

Friends like you ensure that these stories can be told. By sending Purim gifts to Lone Soldiers that are distributed on army bases all over Israel, you create stories like this every day.

By sharing the IDF Purim Project, your family and friends can see the impact you have made, and the difference that they can make to these Lone Soldiers.

Yud Shvat Farbrengen & Superbowl Sunday!

Over 50 pre, current, and former Lone Soldiers were inspired by Rabbi Garbose, a former Lone Soldier himself, and the Rabbi of Kehillat Chaverim Shul, as well as Chayal el Chayal. He retold stories about the previous Chabad Rebbe and showed us how his teachings are very much relevant today more than ever! He led us in song with beautiful niggunim. After the Farbrengen, everyone enjoyed the fun and cozy atmosphere at CEC's Superbowl 51 party! We are sure everybody rolled home past 5am with their eyes half shut and their stomachs filled with munchies.
'Cuz Lone Soldiers love pizza!!
Coming home to stacks of olive, mushroom, and jalapeno pizza, after a long and tiring week on base was the perfect way to start off the weekend!

Do you like to Ski?!
It was an unforgettable Shabbaton for our former Lone Soldiers in New York!

Everyone was welcomed on Friday with sushi (because that’s just how we roll…) followed by an inspiring Kabbalat Shabbat and Friday night meal. We reminisced and farbrenged way past midnight!

Shabbat day was filled with food, farbrengens and fun (snowball fights!) But there's more… Motzei Shabbat we enjoyed a Kumzitz, BBQ, and a warm bonfire in the snow, complete with music and marshmallows! Finally, Sunday morning called for skiing and snowboarding...taking on some double black diamonds!!

Thank you to Robert Heshy Reiss for making this happen and to every FLS that came and added to the incredible atmosphere!

Some of us hopped on the tram to Giv'at Ha'tachmoshet for Tzanchamin's (paratroopers) Tekes Kumta (Beret Ceremony), while others of us drove to central Israel for Nachal's (infantry) Tekes Kumta. After training tirelessly for months on end, seeing the smiles on the soldier's faces once they received their red and lime green berets made it all worth it! Mazal tov! May you all be blessed with the strength and courage to keep our land safe and secure!
Congratulations to former Lone Soldier Aryeh Hecht, on his engagement to Shaina Efune!
Wow!! Mazal tov!
