SDPCA supports water project at a Health Center in Cambodia!

At the Taste the World event, attendees voted on which Peace Corps Connect project to support through our International Support Fund and the Clean Water, Clean Hands, Better Life for Families project was chosen. SDPCA donated the final $254 to the project.
Project Description: The Health Center is a major health care provider, but lacks regular access to clean water, negatively affecting health services provided like delivering children, washing out wounds or washing hands. This project will provide clean, running water for the Health Center to improve quality of services for staff and patients alike, and empower community leaders to educate villagers about how to maintain hygiene. The impact of this project will give the Health Center clean water to improve quality of health services provided for villagers, and local leadership will be able to encourage behavior change to reduce instance of gastroenteritis.
