Class 8 welcome Class 1 in the first Assembly of the year....
View this email in your browser
Yesterday we held our first Assembly for 2021 and our first full Assembly complete with our greater Chrysalis Community for 12 months.
It is truly wonderful to have our doors open once more to enable parents and friends to come onto campus and experience first hand – windows into their children at Chrysalis. For our students, it means sharing these windows of their Chrysalis life with their parents and friends to bridge the gap between school and home.
If you were unable to make yesterday’s assembly, we strongly encourage you to put all of the assembly dates in your diary for the rest of the year – as it is these moments and rich opportunities that can help remind us why we are here.

Vale Chrissie Power
Chrissie Power has been known and loved by many in the Chrysalis Community. As an inspirational and dedicated English teacher in the mid-nineties, Chrissie was an integral part of the school and high school at that time. Her two children, Jess and Will both attended Chrysalis.
Chrissie Power died peacefully on the weekend after a short illness.
Chrissie will be sorely missed by many and our thoughts and blessings go out to all of her family and friends at this time.

World Down Syndrome Day...

Chrysalis is participating in the international campaign of Lots Of Socks for World Down Syndrome Day again this year. We encourage all children and teachers to wear some brightly coloured, long or mismatched socks to school in celebration of diversity. Activities are planned to learn about and appreciate every person’s uniqueness and to understand more about Down syndrome.
Perhaps it’s time to buy some new socks for Autumn or borrow and swap to make a pair of wild socks, please think ahead and have some snazzy socks ready for Monday 22 March.

Bellingen High 2021 Leadership Team...

Chrysalis is so proud of our ex-students and all that they achieve once they leave the Thora campus. This year is no exception with the leadership team at Bellingen High. Three of the six students are graduates from Chrysalis - Codi, Tallara and Mali. Congratulations to you all. We are sure that Bellingen High will continue to thrive under your leadership!
