Italian Feast for Class 6...
What a beautiful, engaging welcome back to school for Class 6 yesterday! Kelley embraced her new role as Class 6 teacher by helping the students create an Italian Feast to celebrate the end of their Roman main lesson.

From Week 5 (Monday 25th May), Chrysalis will continue its staged reintroduction of face-to-face learning for all students, moving directly onto Transition Phase 3 (see our guidelines below) - with two days per week for Morning Star and River Song, and four days per week for Classes 1 to 8. Music lessons will also move back to in-person tuition.
To help maintain social distancing for adults, we are asking all non-essential visitors to not come on campus and to continue to communicate with the school through email or phone calls. Also, it is important for parents to remember social distancing at the bus stops and at pick up/drop off times. Thank you!
Students getting their bodies moving...
Many of the children (and their parents!) have been loving being encouraged to get out and pound the pavement, or the forest trails - depending on where they live - to get the students ready for cross country. Each year group has been set a recommended distance based on their ages. As with all tasks, some students find the beginning easier than others, but all are encouraged to persevere as improvement will come to those who strive!
Winter is a great time to keep those bodies moving and getting/staying fit...
Did you see the students Welcome Back to School clips?...
It was so exciting to welcome the children back to campus yesterday. Luckily for those parents unable to come out to Thora, Sammi - our social media coordinator - was able to grab a few quick video clips and photos to give you a taste of the return to school for both the students and the staff.
Check them out on Instagram. Also, on Facebook you can see the Class 2 students getting their bodies moving with an early morning "cross country".
If you haven't already started following the school on social media, now is a great time to do so and get some insight into the multi-faceted approach to learning that is utilised here at Chrysalis - keeping the students engaged both during at-home learning and face-to-face learning times!
