Dear Community Member,

I can’t thank you enough.

On behalf of The Baltimore City Continuum of Care (CoC), I am writing to express my gratitude for your support of The Journey Home Care-A-Thon.

A modern twist on an old-school telethon, the fundraiser virtually brought together community members from all walks of life to learn more about homelessness in Baltimore City, explore ways to get involved, and raise funds to address gaps in critical needs. If you had the chance to attend the event, it is my hope that you enjoyed the segments and left empowered to become an active contributor to efforts to prevent and end homelessness in our community.

The generous support of individuals like you makes it possible for us to pursue our mission and eliminate barriers to housing stability for Baltimoreans experiencing homelessness. Today, I am happy to share that we have successfully moved more than 400 households experiencing homelessness into permanent housing since the onset of the pandemic. This milestone represents a step forward in our community’s dedication to end homelessness, and we are committed to continuing to double down on our efforts.

I understand there is still a lot of work ahead and can’t thank you enough for your partnership and unwavering support as we continue to address the urgent and unique needs of our unhoused neighbors in these uncertain and unprecedented times.

Thank you again for your support.

Warm Regards,

Winston Philip,
Chair, Baltimore City Continuum of Care's Board
