Dear <<First Name>>,
April is National Fair Housing Month. This also means that we are just a few days away from the Journey Home Care-A-Thon, which is scheduled to take place virtually on Friday, April 23 from 10:00AM TO 10:00PM.
About the Care-A-Thon
A modern twist on an old-school telethon, this event will provide 12 straight hours of Baltimore culture and community engagement. Distinguished guests will learn more about homelessness in Baltimore City while enjoying a wide rage of activities, including interviews with local celebrities, live music, and a closing dance party. learn more here.
Why this event matters
While the fundraiser will enable us to come together and enjoy a wide range of activities, we must not lose sight of its purpose. As we recover from a pandemic that made it clear that housing is safety and health care, the next normal calls us to show up for our unhoused neighbors in new ways. This means educating ourselves, doubling down on our investments in compassionate, long-term solutions to housing, and advancing policies and programmatic changes that will address our community’s housing crisis with a race equity lens.
Your support means a lot
Funds raised through the Journey Home Care-A-Thon will be used to support individuals and families at imminent risk of eviction due to the pandemic and accelerate permanent housing placements for our unhoused neighbors.
Now, here’s the big ask...
Can we count on you to step up for our unhoused neighbors? Get or donate a ticket today.
