CAC Updates for December 2016


Reminders:


CAC will be closed for the holidays starting Friday December 23rd and will re-open on Monday January 2nd at 8:30am


CAC Training Centre:

Renewing Your Accreditation:


To allow for you and your organization to have enough time to work through the accreditation process, we recommend you apply for your accreditation renewal at least 12 months in advance of your expiry date. 

If your organization's accreditation is expiring soon, contact Michael at mblighe@cacohs.com for application information.

As Another Year Comes and Goes

It has been another busy year here at CAC, and we have welcomed a lot of new organizations into our accreditation process.

Everyone here wishes all of our client organizations, volunteers, Committee Members and Board a very peaceful holiday season, as we look forward to another prosperous year in 2017!

Conference Season Wraps Up!

CAC's 2016 Roadshow Comes to an End

After being in attendance at the First Nation Health Manager's Association's annual conference in Vancouver from November 15th - 18th, another year of conferences has come to an end.

Whilst at the First Nation Health Manager's Assocation conference our CEO Calvin Wood, Director of Resources & International Development Dr Sana Naffa and Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Manitoba Dr Myrle Ballard conducted a presentation on "The Social Determinants of Health for First Nations Communities in Canada" which was well-received.

We'd like to congratulate the winner of our iPod prize draw, Iris Allen of Charles J Andrew Youth & Family Treatment Centre! Well done Iris!



Thanks to everyone who popped by to say hello, and we'll be seeing you all on the road again in 2017!

2016 Training Sessions

Please find information on the final Training Session of 2016 below:

Aboriginal Awareness Training (Fridays from 9am - 3pm)

December 16th

All full day training will require attendees to bring their own lunch.

To book staff onto any training session or find out about future training dates please contact Michael at mblighe@cacohs.com or call the office at 780-424-4498. Make sure to book early as sessions fill up fast!

CAC reserves the right to cancel sessions when other needs arise, organizations are responsible for payment two weeks prior to training taking place. Each session is limited to 12 spaces.

Training dates for throughout 2017 will be announced once finalized.
