90+% of Living Kidney Donors Knew Their Recipient Before the Transplant
If you are in need of a kidney transplant there's nothing more important than spreading the word about your situation. When friends and family members help spread the word, their contacts may know you too, but may not have known about your need. REACHING PEOPLE YOU KNOW, OR THAT KNOW YOU IS THE KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL LIVING KIDNEY TRANSPLANT EXPERIENCE.

Would You Like to See Your Transplant Center Host a LKDN Workshop?
Many transplant centers are now hosting LKDN workshops and their alumni, recipients and donors are leading these programs. Other organizations, i.e. dialysis clinics, nephrology practice, ESRD Networks and other groups have invited me to lead the LKDN workshop for their patients. Harvey Mysel

I’m a two time kidney transplant recipient and founder of the non-profit organization Living Kidney Donors Network. I started LKDN after my first kidney transplant in 2007; my wife Amy was my donor. I’d known about my kidney ailment, PKD a genetic condition, for 20 years. One and a half years after my transplant, I contracted a virus that attacks the kidney. I  was told in January 2012  I needed another transplant. I was very fortunate to receive a kidney from Stephen Liegghio in August 2012. To learn more about Harvey Mysel: Click Here
