The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Join us at our Maker Monday to participate!  No experience needed. Ages 4 to 104.

Senior Scam Workshop

Wednesday, December 13, 1:30-2:00pm

Learn about the scams that target seniors the most. Get tips on how to avoid these tactics, which red flags to be aware of, and what resources to use to lower your chances of becoming a victim. Presented by the Better Business Bureau. Orinda Library Garden Room.

Just for Teens: Holiday Crafts

Make holiday gift bags, boxes and tags with artist Valerie Adinolfi. All materials provided. Garden Room. For grades 6-12. No registration required.

Holi-dawgs

Monday, December 18, 2:30-3:45pm

Beat seasonal stress with our Santa Paws, Dreidel Dogs, Kwanzaa Kanines and Frosty Fidos! Read a story, make a craft, play a game or just relax with one of our friendly therapy dogs.

Yoga Storytime

Wednesday, December 20, 10:00-10:30am

Gentle stretching event will include storytelling and music. For kids of all ages & their caregivers. Please wear comfortable clothes. Feel free to bring a yoga mat or towel but neither is required.

Help Wanted! 

The Friends of the Orinda Library needs your help filling an important position on our Board of Directors. This is a chance for you to learn some new skills—or use the ones you already have—and help support our library. We meet one Wednesday morning per month at the Orinda Library. Interested? Email news@friendsoftheorindalibrary.org.

MEMBERSHIP MARKETING – Help us develop a campaign to recruit new members to the Friends. Less than 5% of Orinda households are members – we want every household to join us.  Perfect for someone with non-profit marketing experience.
