The Jungle Babbler - Tropical Birding's newsletter

June 2015

Golden-winged Warbler - Pablo Cervantes DazaSpring migration was another great success!  We started out in High Island, Texas, where despite lower warbler numbers in general, we enjoyed nice doses of goodies like Golden-winged and Cerulean Warblers. After a fun break for the Tropical Birding guides in Nashville, they followed the birds north to Magee Marsh in Ohio, for the usual extreme close-ups that we have come to expect from that migration Mecca. Just over the Canadian border in Point Pelee, rare finds like Chuck-will's-widow and Kirtland’s Warbler made for some extra excitement to the usual spring fare. We met up with many of you, and always enjoy these projects as much for the birds as for the chance to interact with current, former, and future tour participants. We hope to bird together with all of you in the future.

In this edition of the newsletter, we're listing forthcoming tours you might be interested in, new additions to our tour lineup, recently published trip reports, and some upcoming events that we will be attending.
