This week sees another full update of the Ilios platform.
This release, v3.69.1,
contains a number of significant enhancements and improvements to the Ilios platform. We encourage all schools to update at the earliest convenience to take advantage of these changes. We've improved search with clearer marking of results; added a major enhancement to the CI Report tools; and done some major work in our efforts to make the Ilios web interface fully accessible.
: In our current push to make Ilios fully accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
) standard v2.0 as well as the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template
®) we have modified the web interface of Ilios. You'll notice that colors are a little more saturated, text a bit clearer, contrasts a bit more notable, and labels a bit more effective. And if you use a screen reader or other accessibility tools, you will hopefully find the full application becoming more and more easily navigable over time. Our current goal is AAA compliance for all student-facing areas of the system. If you have questions or feedback for us on any of the accessibility issues, please let us know
: For more on how we are improving the toolset for the CIR in Ilios, please take a look at the note below
. We are rapidly approaching the close of this upload cycle, so for those few school who still need to generate, upload, and verify their reports (you know who you are!), now is the time. We will be available thru the remainder of the upload window to assist you should you need.
if you have questions please don't hesitate to send us a note at email@example.com
- API Changes: Various non-breaking improvements
- Schema Changes: No breaking changes.
- Other Changes: Accessibility improvements site-wide, addition of verification report tables to CIR, enhancements to search results badging and listing.
In the "better late than never" category of announcements, this release includes a major improvement to the Curriculum Inventory toolset. Now as you build you report, you will be able to review your data compiled to reflect the primary tables of the CI Verification Report -- which in turn reflect the DCI tables you will use to support your LCME Site Visit. While we are already at the close of the CI season for this year, we are hoping that this new "verification preview" will be a major asset to you in the next year's cycle.
Ilios provides 8 tables of key data:
Each matches the output of the CI verification tables:
The table can be accessed by clicking the
icon in the header of any of your curriculum inventory reports in Ilios.
