Ilios Project Updates: Making curriculum in the health professions more meaningful in a complex and changing world.
curriculum management for the health professions

No release this week, but a number of great updates and improvements to the system are now available. Most notably, we have begun the conversion of our dashboard calendar grids to a much more accessible and versatile code structure.

What does that mean for users? Basically:
  • A better and more responsive calendar view from mobile devices
  • Better and more accessible code for WCAG and VPAT compliance
  • Improved and more accurate representations of activities at start and end of month grid blocks (for days from a previous or upcoming month)
What this means for the development team is that it is now much more feasible to address a host of user requests for improvements to the way the calendar works, and we look forward to releasing many of those in the coming weeks.

If you are running the latest release then you should begin to see these improvements (beginning with the "month view" of the calendar) with your next update to the frontend.

If there are calendar display improvements that you would like to request for your students and users, please let us know so we can consider them!

To make sure you users are receiving the latest frontend code at all times, just follow the steps described here:

Though you will probably never need to deploy the Ilios 3 Frontend on your own servers, the source for the frontend code can always be found at

The changelog for updates specific to the frontend can be viewed here.
