It's been another month of global and national challenges, but here at Ilios we continue to plug away at bettering the realm of curriculum management.
We are pleased to announce the latest update to Ilios, v3.89.1
, available now and ready for your systems. This update includes numerous minor enhancements to the interface, a number of code improvements and bugfixes, as well as a new tool for better managing your competency mapping in the AAMC CI Report (see below
As we did last month, all quadrants are in the green, despite the various challenges and uncertainties in the current climate.
Our next few months will be focused on the development of improved reporting capacity in the system, and as we progress we will have further updates on progress in these reports.
THE PCRS MAPPER: The AAMC Curriculum Inventory mandates that your competency framework, whatever your institution should choose to apply, must be mapped to the PCRS (Physician's Competency Resource S). Until now, this has been managed as a database-only mapping, without the ability for an end user to easily managem update, review or revise. With this release, we have incorporated the ability to manage your competency-to-PCRS mappings from within the Ilios UI. Just as you would manage your course and session objective mappings, your competencies (listed in the School section of the Ilios menu) now provide the ability to view and manage these mappings directly, without needing to engage your database administrator.
For Ilios administrators with school-level privileges, this now allows for review and rebalancing whenever necessary to accommodate curricular change, LCMS review, or other cycles of demand.
Next Scheduled Release: 17 September, 2021
