UCSF SERVICE NOTE:
On Thursday October 10th, we experienced a network issue causing access issues for some UCSF Ilios users. As far as we can tell, this did not impact student access, but did cause disruption for administrative users of the system. While we are still investigating the root cause of this disruption,
Reports of disruptions began at approximately 10:30am; by 11:15 the team was actively engaged in addressing the problem, and began to deploy improvements to the systems to alleviate the issues being seen.
By 1:45pm systems were again functioning normally, but we continue to monitor traffic and server response, as we still have not definitively identified the source of the issue. Once we have identified the cause, we will provide further information. The team would like to apologize for this rare unexpected disruption of service, and remains committed to providing the highest level of service available for our users.
Until we have further information, we would ask all administrative Ilios users to alert us if they encounter any unusual responses, delays or issues with the system -- including the absence of expected information (stuff not showing up when/where you expect). While we do not expect further disruption, we want to be sure that if it does happen, we can respond to your needs immediately.
