But this I know: it came to pass
Upon a bright and sunny day
When May was young; ah, pleasant May!
As yet the poppies were not born...

THIS WEEK IN ILIOS

We are pleased to announce the latest updates to Ilios. In the latest release, v3.74.4, we address a number of minor bugfixes, and we've pushed out a number of improvements as well for the current release. We are hoping that they help you with your work, and make Ilios more effective. Among those are a few items in direct response to requests we've heard from the community.

Highlights: fixed an LDAP bug causing issues with ingestion of records; corrected an issue where reports would not generate if no school was selected, and also: New tooltips, new icons, new links to access materials (see below!)

     YOU ASKED, WE DELIVERED:

Tooltips: We have had some reports of trouble with the tooltips -- either not popping up where expected, or not collapsing after you cursor away from an item. So we've replaced all the tooltips across the platform with an easier to read, better performing version.

Link to My Materials: You have asked for an easier, more direct and obvious access point to the "My Materials" page. So we've added one. It's at the top of the list for the "Materials" dashboard display, in the same place you find the "All weeks" link for Week at a Glance.

Identifying sessions linked to pre-work: A number of our users have requested a visual marker to note not only that an item (like an ILM) is listed as pre-work, but also for sessions which have pre-work associated with them. So we've added one to the session lists in every course. When you see this icon  in the "status" column of the session list, you will know that the session in question is linked to pre-work.

if you have questions please don't hesitate to send us a note at support@iliosproject.org.

How to Update Your Frontend:
The Ilios frontend is always up-to-date on our content-delivery servers at Amazon S3, but you will need to regularly run a console command on your backend instance in order ensure that your users are seeing the latest version and that they are getting all the latest features and bugfixes. To make sure you users are receiving the latest frontend code at all times, just follow the steps described here:
 https://github.com/ilios/ilios/blob/master/docs/update.md

Though you will probably never need to deploy the Ilios 3 Frontend on your own servers, the source for the frontend code can always be found at https://github.com/ilios/frontend/releases.

The changelog for updates specific to the frontend can be viewed here.
