THIS WEEK IN ILIOS
Happy Friday to everyone, I hope you are all staying healthy, well, and relatively sane during these challenging times!
No version release this week, but we have fixed a number of bugs and improved a variety of issues in the system which we hope you will appreciate.
Most notably, with the ongoing work the team has been putting in, our student-facing web accessibility score has improved:
With the latest updates this week, our overall score (with SiteImprove
) is now a remarkable 98.7%, and we expect that to continue to increase as we complete code cleanup across the site. This score covers all student-facing areas of Ilios. As we have noted in the past, achieving full accessibility and conformance with WCAG AA-AAA levels has been one of our roadmap milestones for this development cycle. I am quite happy to share our current status with you, and your communities.
- issue corrected where "in progress" notification would not clear without refresh
We continue to make progress on work toward objective tagging, offering management improvement, and site/location management. These features will begin to roll out late spring / early summer.
if you have questions please don't hesitate to send us a note at email@example.com

How to Update Your Frontend:
The Ilios frontend is always up-to-date on our content-delivery servers at Amazon S3, but you will need to regularly run a console command on your backend instance in order ensure that your users are seeing the latest version and that they are getting all the latest features and bugfixes. To make sure you users are receiving the latest frontend code at all times, just follow the steps described here:
Though you will probably never need to deploy the Ilios 3 Frontend on your own servers, the source for the frontend code can always be found at https://github.com/ilios/frontend/releases.
The changelog for updates specific to the frontend can be viewed here.
