THIS WEEK IN ILIOS
No release this week, but a number of significant developments for the frontend interface for those of you already running the latest update:
Feature 1: A new Session List.
The course management page now provides a renovated session list view, with a more condensed use of space to provide easier navigation, as well as the opportunity to edit information directly, without navigating away from the list:
Curriculum Inventory hour counts corrected. For asynchronous learning in the CI, certain conditions were causing the display of total hours to show as zero, but still be sent correctly tot he report. This has been fixed and hour totals now display accurately again.
: Calendar feed. In the process of closing a number of critical security issues, and preparing our calendar sync code for further personalization and management, we were required to limit the data being exposed in individual events, and send a link to the Ilios event instead of exposing curricular details in external calendars. We've heard a lot of feedback on this change, and we know that we could have communicated better about it; for that we apologize. We are working on finding ways to expand as much of the data as we can back into the exposed external feed, and will have updates on changes as we move forward.
If you are running the latest release of Ilios (v3.53.1)
, you will see these updates with your next frontend update. For partner schools hosted by the Ilios Project, these updates will be loaded at end of day today (Friday 8/24).
if you have questions please don't hesitate to send us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org

To make sure you users are receiving the latest frontend code at all times, just follow the steps described here:
Though you will probably never need to deploy the Ilios 3 Frontend on your own servers, the source for the frontend code can always be found at https://github.com/ilios/frontend/releases.
