Ilios Project Status as of 13 December, 2019

Hello!

This will be the last update from the Ilios team for the 2019 calendar year. Our regular weekly updates will start again mid-January, 2020. Our first report in 2020 will include a roundup of the 2019 year, and the progress and developments we have had with Ilios.

We continue to stay "green" and on track in all four quadrants. This was the case for the majority of the year, as we worked along the broad product roadmap to deliver such features as consolidated search, updated CI Report tools, enhanced accessibility and mobility for the interface, as well as our continued work to improve and update the core infrastructure of Ilios in order to provide you with the best tool possible.

Overall this year, we have been able to provide more features and support at lower cost, expand our platform capacity, and generally move a few steps closer to our goal of being the premier curriculum management and mapping tool available.

As we approach the holidays. we are continuing the work on a revamped offerings manager, including better time management, group management, and the ability to connect individual learners with their activities. We also are still deep in our work to update the Ilios codebase, future-proofing it for the coming development cycle of the next few years.

We Need Your Input

With our continuing push to improve the user experience in Ilios, we are again looking at ways to improve how we deliver calendar information to our various users. With the multiple roles and responsibilities of various types of users -- learners, TAs, trainees, instructing faculty, course directors and administrators, session administrators, school and program administrators, and more -- we want to refine the way Ilios provides each with the schedule so that they (and you) can best do your work.

Is there something you would like to see in your calendar that you don't see now? Is there something you see that you don't think you need to? Are there ways we can simplify how you find what you need in the calendar?

Please drop us a line at support@iliosproject.org, and tell us in what role you use Ilios at your institution, and how we might help to make your work easier!

Thank you,

The Ilios Team
