October 11, 2021, Brookwood Place HOA Board held its Monthly Meeting at Thom Tomlinson's house. In attendance were 2021 Board members: Thom Tomlinson, Denise Fast, Michelle Kring, Ashley Shadel, Jan Kinney and Ron Davis.
Topics of discussion included:
- BWP Fest
- New signage at pool
- Landscape at monuments

All residents are encouraged to attend any of the monthly meetings. The HOA Board holds monthly meetings every second Monday of the month.

BWP had a Halloween parade on Sunday, Oct. 24. It was well attended and the kids enjoyed all the treats! Thanks to all the neighbors who volunteered to pass out candy at intervals on the parade route!
The Bunko group is inviting residents to join, either as a regular member or as a sub. Bunko meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. Please contact Denise Fast if you are considering joining this fun group!
We would like to restart the Book Club. If anyone is interested in heading up this group, please contact Demise Fast.

We have been advised that, per city code, we need to have a sign at our pool with the pool address in case a 911 call needs to be made. This will help emergency responders locate our pool quickly. The sign will be up by the opening of the pool next spring. Just a reminder, even though most of us have our cell phones at the pool, there is a phone landline just across from the women's restroom.
We are looking into various camera systems in order to provide more after hours security at the pool. We are hoping to have this in place also by next pool season.

BWP Residents' children can advertise their services in the monthly newsletter free of charge. We will have a section with the child's name, contact info, and services offered (ie: mowing, babysitting, etc.) If a more extensive ad is wanted, a regular ad (see below) can be purchased. Our regular advertising will continue to be offered. If you have a business or service that you wish to advertise to our neighborhood, please consider using our newsletter as the advertising avenue. The BWP resident costs are quite low and will reach all of our BWP residents.
Payments should be made to "Brookwood Place Homes Association" and mailed to our address: PO Box 15372, Lenexa, KS 66285.
