Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Annual Red Bike & Blue event that was held on Sunday evening June 30th!
We had about 45 residents and children join in our bike parade, water balloon fight and frozen treat event. Families met at the corner of 84th Terrace and Hall Street with their decorated bikes, wagons, strollers and scooters. The parade made their way up Hall Street to the pool where everyone gathered to participate in some water balloon events. The children competed in a water balloon toss competition and then concluded with a water balloon fight. Residents then enjoyed ice cream bars, ice cream sandwiches and frozen popsicle treats in the parking lot. It was a beautiful evening for socialization and treats.
Please contact Janet Lien, BWP Social Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in helping and being a part of this committee. Plans are starting for our annual Luau as well as our Fall and Winter events!
Just as a reminder, when considering any exterior projects, please contact Kevin Knipp at email@example.com. The project must be approved before the work has begun. This includes new roofs, painting the exterior of your home (even if it is the same color choice) and any project for the outside of your home. We want to ensure that the work aligns with the bylaws. To review the bylaws, please visit our website or email one of the Board Members.
ADVERTISE WITH US!
BWP Residents' children can advertise their services in the monthly newsletter free of charge. We will have a section with the child's name, contact info, and services offered (ie: mowing, babysitting, etc.) If a more extensive ad is wanted, a regular ad (see below) can be purchased. Our regular advertising will continue to be offered. If you have a business or service that you wish to advertise to our neighborhood, please consider using our newsletter as the advertising avenue. The BWP resident costs are quite low and will reach all of our BWP residents.
Payments should be made to "Brookwood Place Homes Association" and mailed to our address: PO Box 15372, Lenexa, KS 66285. Send the ad to the BWP email address - firstname.lastname@example.org. Prices for the ad are as follows:
1/4 of a page ad $10 | 1/2 page ad $20 | Full page ad $25
