Supporting Cornwall

Together with NHS Kernow and Volunteer Cornwall, we're continuing to support to clinically extremely vulnerable residents during the lockdown.

Get in touch with us if you need help with food shopping or prescriptions, or if you're feeling anxious.

The government has advised everyone who has a health condition that makes them clinically extremely vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19 and who may have shielded at home during the earlier restrictions across England, to stay home once again as much as they can with the exception of going outdoors to exercise or attend health appointments.

A carbon friendly Christmas?

With Christmas just around the corner, we’re urging people to eat, drink, buy and give in moderation this year. This way, we can all reduce our negative impact on the planet at Christmas. Please click the option that best fits your view.

I'm keen to reduce my environmental impact this Christmas

I'll try my best to buy local

It's Christmas and not a time when I'll be thinking about environmental impacts

Essential high street shops remain open with safety measures in place

Cornwall's high streets are doing everything they can to help keep you safe when you're shopping for essentials during the lockdown.

Many shops like greengrocers, chemists, butchers, bakers, off licences and takeaway food outlets remain open or are offering click and collect or online services.

Please help to support them by shopping for what you need locally.

This work is supported by funding from a grant of £152,000 awarded to Cornwall Council from the Government’s emergency active travel fund and £509,000 of support to towns for temporary public realm measures from the European Regional Development Fund’s Reopening High Street Safely Fund.

Track and trace financial support

If you're on a low income and have been asked to self-isolate through NHS Test and Trace, you may be able to claim a £500 payment.
