Hello everyone,

We look forward to welcoming you to the Calcutta Cycle on Saturday!

This email gives you some final reminders:

  • Please arrive at the Law Society in Blackhall Place in good time to complete your sign-on.  We will be there from 07.30 and registration must be completed before 08.30am to allow time for a group safety briefing before we start promptly at 09.00am.

  • If you haven’t already done so, please read the Participant Information Booklet here – it should tell you everything you need to know.  Pay particular attention to the “Dos and Don’ts” on page 4.  If you need a .gpx file for your Garmin, please email l.gattis@lawsociety.ie and one will be sent to you.

  • We have issued the event jersey to those who registered early and for whom we have DX addresses.  Please wear the jersey for the event and don’t forget your cycling helmet.  Bring a fully-charged phone – loaded with the event support numbers: non-emergency medical support is 087 293 5860 and mechanical/other support is 087 282 8294 (for use on the day of the Event only).  Pump up your tyres.  And since the weather forecast is looking pretty good, remember your sun-cream and water!   (If you have not received a jersey, we may be able to give you one at Registration – subject to availability).

  • We hope you have been able to raise funds for our charities, Peter McVerry Trust and the HOPE foundation.  Remember that we asked you to target a further €70 (in addition to the Registration fee you have already paid).  Please bring any cash or cheques (payable to “The Calcutta Run”) with you on Saturday morning.

  • Finally, we still have space for a few more cyclists to join the event – so please feel free to round up some “last minute” friends who can register on Saturday provided they arrive in good time.
Have a safe and enjoyable event – and thanks so much for your support.
With best regards,

Michael Quinlan, President
The Law Society
Charles Coase, Chairman
