Welcome                                                                          Edition 14 - 20/8/15

Welcome to the 'season review' edition of Croc Tales, in which coaches/managers across all grades have provided a review of their season. Thank you coaches and managers for the write-ups!

The club did very well at the recent NTRU Eric Johnston Award Night and the juniors have their Grand Finals tomorrow night - read all about these events in in the senior and junior updates below.

And finally, we look forward to seeing everyone at either our junior and/or senior presentation nights coming up on Friday 28th (juniors) and Saturday 29th (seniors). Both will be held at the clubhouse this year - see you then!

Ben Blyton
Club President

NTRU Eric Johnston Presentation Night

The NTRU held its annual awards night last week and the club did very well.

Congratulations to Michael Killiner who won the Eric Johnston Medal which is awarded to the A Grade Best and Fairest player for the season. Although we have had winners of the NTRU A Grade Best and Fairest before (John Burgess, Colin Snowden and Craig Leach), Michael  is our first ever Eric Johnston Medalist.  He fully deserves this honour; he had a bumper year and proved that he is one of the best players in the Top End.

Thomas Roe capped his stellar year, which included captaining the NT Schoolboys, winning the NTRU Rising Star Award. Thomas follows last year’s winner Greg Svanfelds to make it back-to-back wins for Palmy players.

And lastly, Ben Blyton was awarded the NTRU Volunteer of the Year award. Well done Ben!

Grand Finals!

It should be great night at Rugby Park tomorrow!

Congratulations to our Under 13s and Under 15s for making their grand finals.  The Under 13s game is a replay of last year’s grand final where we take on Casuarina and the Under 15s take on Dragon’s in what is sure to be a tough game.  If you can make it down and to support our teams, the kids would love to see you there!

The Under 5s, Under 7s and Under 9s will also be playing their last games of the season and they will be sure to have a great time.

Congratulations also to our Under 11s. Although they were defeated in their semi-final against Casuarina last week, they have had a exceptional year, going from strength to strength as the season progressed.  Well done Under 11s!
