EU - Calls and Funding

This year, the ECBNetwork
offers all members the opportunity to find out more about the EU programs and funding opportunities. The aim is to allow for organisations and institutions to gain a deeper understanding of the structure and schemes in the new EU funding period relevant to the creative industries sector. Therefore, the ECBN offers a new service and presents the ECBN ACADEMY, which enables members to get the latest news and an overview of the latest requirements for current EU calls.
The ECBN ACADEMY offers separate workshops,

for each of the CCI-relevant funding scheme and is divided into two main areas. The first part of the EU funding workshops deals with the background of each specific program and describes the relevant tools to write the planned application. The secound part allows the participants to present their ideas and proposal and to find relevant partners.

The ECBN ACADEMY from the 17th to 18th of Nov., is a two day program
for all interested ECBN Members who want to learn more about the EU Funding logic and explore the possibility of pitching project ideas and consortia in different EU programs.

The ECBN Academy consists of two modules. The first module covers the reflection of ideas and how to formulate the bidding strategy. It guarantees the transfer from the strategy to the application and how to find good partners. The second module offers a deep dive into single EU funding programs. All two days are held in Zoom Sessions.
Day 1:  17/11/21

The first day of the ECBN Academy starts with investigation the different opportunities and possibilities the EU is offering to applicants and how bidding strategies are transformed into successful applications.

The second day of the ECBN Academy consists of a deep diving program in which the team examines the various EU programs in closer details.

Trainer Team
Gisa Schosswohl is international project manager since 20 years. Her background is a master in business administration, economy and law. Her focus is creative economy and culture, transformation and education and innovation.Since 2014, she has been conducting its own company in supporting the organization for the application and execution of European projects (Horizon2020, Erasmus +, Interreg, Cosme).

Gerin Trautenberger is a member of the ECBN Board and specialised in business development and also project manager in European funded projects. He holds a degree in economics and media studies as well in entrepreneurial studies. Gerin also served as an evaluator and rapporteur in the evaluation of Horizon 2020 calls.

Bernd Fesel is the director of the ECBNetwork and also responsible for several European funded projects. In 2003 he initiated the first national conference on creative industries in Berlin and was founding member of the German national initiative for creative industries in 2007.

The ECBNetwork depends on its Members is a unique not for profit foundation based in Rotterdam. It was initiated during the European Capital of Culture RUHR.2010 and founded in 2011. The ECBNetwok is an independent foundation and is funded by its member fees and contributions in kind.
