Kids Mental Health Pierce County in collaboration with Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital’s YES Program is excited to announce our upcoming webinar series: Social Emotional Learning & Trauma Informed Practices with Youth. This webinar series is facilitated by Education and Behavioral Consultant, Tovah Denaro, MS.Ed and will be held monthly during t the 2021-2022 school year. The series is open to all Pierce County parents/caregivers and community organizations that serve youth.

Sessions will cover information including:

Understanding the function of behavior
Strategies for social emotional self-care
Social emotional learning competencies
De-escalation strategies and more

OCTOBER

A Mindful State has partnered with Coordinated Care and Kids Mental
Health Pierce County to host monthly webinars to provide a forum to
help build resilience through community connections and education.

October Webinar Overview
Working with families who have experienced trauma can be challenging.
This training will help service providers to understand secondary traumatic
stress, compassion fatigue, burn out and compassion satisfaction. This
session will include discussion on why self-care is important, and participants will have the opportunity to start developing a personal self-care plan.
